There’s been a good deal of this today. Hand paw holding. Life’s pretty dull for a young pup whose little world has shrunk to a crate, so I brought Chester out of his “prison” and spent 3 hours sitting on the laundry floor while he snuggled up to me with grateful licks and dozed on and off.
Until now I hadn’t realised how often we pat and cuddle him just in passing as we go about our daily activities, and I think he was just grateful for some body-contact.
Oh poor Chester! And the worst is that he doesn't understand why all of this. At least he is young and recovery should happen quilckly and go well. And he will probably forget his traumatic experience with time.
ReplyDeleteChester is one lucky pooch. Not every pet owner whould have gone the effort and expense of saving him. I hope he lives a long and grateful life for you.
ReplyDeletePoor Chester! Please give him hugs from us.
ReplyDeletePoor thing...sounds like he's been through quite an ordeal!
ReplyDeleteOur dear little man - guess he feels his whole world has come apart and can't work out why all this is happening. Prescription = loads more quality time siting on the laundry floor and paw holding. We send him our super special love and look forward to a speedy recovery and a great play date XXX Matilda
