Beautiful beadwork

Look at this gorgeous bookmark my very clever daughter Sarah made for her BFF who left yesterday to work in Africa for a year.IMG_7634 She used a graph from a cross-stitch pattern and wove the tiny beads on a loom to create this wonderful image of the tiger drinking at a waterhole.

IMG_7638 Yes, yes, we all know there are no tigers in Africa, but these two girls are complete and utter animal-lovers (they’ve both completed PhDs in Vet Science) and Sarah in particular is crazy about tigers!imageimage-2 IMG_7635

    Sarah is so clever AND brave. Tigers are beautiful but I'm sure I wouldn't want to be so "up close & personal" with one.
