The St Mark’s Quilters wasted no time today getting down to the satisfying business of creating.
The hall was abuzz with activity, serenely overseen by the gorgeous Miss Matilda in the middle of the floor.

Cath’s latest quilt top, a gift for a friend.

As Margaret gave her new mug bag (made for her Mum by Di B) its first outing.
TAPESTRY STITCHING -
Kirstin’s cushion, a gift for someone special (shhh)
CROCHETING -
Helen’s cosy rug for a nearby drop-in centre, knitted in a chenille yarn and ready for the pieces to be joined together with crochet.
EATING -
White chocolate Tim Tams, brought along by Moo
Lemon Slice (made by me)
and golden mandarins from Michelle, in what seems to have become a SMQ custom of bringing fresh garden produce to share.
Remember these photos of Susie with an armful of herbs and Perdita with her strawberries?
Fuelled for the task, our quilters produced some amazing work, but you’ll just have to wait ‘till next time to see more.

Still, from this great distance, it's nice to be able to see some of the people and what they're working on. I always appreciate seeing pictures like these. Thanks!

Yesterday was such a happy day and it is really super to see how the girls are progressing out of their comfort zones and putting together really beautiful little quilts. Another great day all quilting together - now if we could only get Matilda to stop lazing around and get behind a sewing machine ... haha.
